Senior portrait FAQ

where do you take senior portraits?

There are so many beautiful places for taking senior portraits! I specialize in both the Yosemite area and the SF Bay Area and I am passionate about my love for both places! As a Lifestyle Photographer, I want to capture you in a place that fits your lifestyle - so drop me a note and tell me about you and we'll find the perfect place for your portrait experience.

what should i expect from a senior portrait session?

Senior portrait sessions are meant to be enjoyable! Bring your personality as well as your smile, and plan to have fun! Sessions last from 30-40 minutes and will allow for 1-2 outfit changes, keeping in mind, they factor into the entire 30-40 minute session. (Longer sessions can be scheduled by special arrangement - contact me for details!) You can expect that we will be on the move - we will be wandering around the location taking advantage of lighting, props and the season - and we want to choose the spot in your location that best fits the vibe that you want to project!

what should i wear to a senior portrait session?

With senior portraits - we want you to look your best - but we also want to capture the real you! Consider bringing 2-3 outfit changes and we will pick the best based on the timing and light conditions. It's always nice to have an outfit that is a bit dressy, and one that's casual, and maybe one that's just plain fun!

Can i bring someone with me to my senior portrait session?

yes, Yes, and YES! I always recommend you bring a support person with you - whether that's a parent or a best friend. I believe that the best smiles are those that are generated organically, so bring that person that knows how to draw out that dazzling smile!

is there anything else I should bring to my session?

I recommend that you consider bringing props that have special meaning to you - whether that's a musical instrument, sports gear, a letterman's jacket, books, or whatever it is that you truly love!
